Our exception talent and first feature of 2021 is William Njobvu a TV and radio presenter in London. “My favourite thing about being a TV and radio personality is being able to entertain people and make them laugh” as he says. William is a co-host on Channel 5’s morning show and also a radio host on Capital XTRA, which is a music station.

I’m based in London

What’s the favorite thing about what you do?

My favourite thing about being a TV and radio personality is being able to entertain people and make them laugh. I love putting a smile on people’s faces and brightening up people’s day. I also really enjoying keeping up to date with entertainment news.

Do you think you influence people?

I think I do influence people, I influence and encourage people to feel and be positive

What more can you do to influence the Zambian youths positively?

I want to continue influencing Zambian youths by letting them know that they can achieve anything they want to achieve in this world as long as they put their mind to it.

What’s the one thing you cannot go a day without doing?

I can’t go a day without going on Instagram.

Favorite place in Zambia?

I was born in Europe so I haven’t been yet.

3 Zambian people if any who have influenced you so much?

The 3 Zambian people who have influenced me the most is my mum and my brothers. They have kept me going and always encourage me to reach the stars.

Biggest thing you’d change about Zambia?

I want to see a growth of bigger radio and TV stations in Zambia. I also want to see a surge of more media personalities in Zambia.

What’s a typical day for you?

I’d be in the studio interviewing celebrities or hosting a show. I love eating out too.

Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What advice would you have given yourself?

Don’t panic, work hard and the results will come

How do you want people to remember you?

I want people to remember me as the person that always made them smile.

What are some causes you are passionate about?

I’m passionate about mental health in African communities, I think more awareness needs to be raised. I’m also passionate about the media in Africa and around the world.

What are you do aside from your passion and work?

I like to pray, meditate and go for walks. I’m on a spiritual journey with God. I also like socialising with friends.

What publications have you regularly read?

I usually read online news — BBC News. However I really enjoy celebrity news so I read TMZ a lot.

Any favorite books?

Harry Potter is my all time favorite book

What would be your personal motto?

Don’t give up!

What Advice can you give to your fellow youths?

Stay in school, learn, don’t get into fights and chase your dreams. We all have a God given gift. Find out what yours is.
